Analysing impacts to outdoor environments, the balancing of tourism, commercial, recreation and conservation activities.
Well done to our Year 11 group. They developed their knowledge and awareness of the new ecotourism ideals on Philip Island, where the Nature Parks work to promote the island and it’s wildlife while they are working extremely hard to protect it.
Our students got fully involved in all aspects of camp, working with the Rangers, checking pest traps, developing knowledge of conservation strategies at the Koala Conservation Park as well as exploring the beaches and participating in some of the Islands popular recreational activities.
All students were great, making the most of their learning opportunities and demonstrating the college values. They were self-sufficient, eco warriors – great work Year 11 OES group!
