White Water Rafting is quite a demanding activity, physically as well as mentally; students must always be switched on to read the river and recognise the direction of the current and positioning of any rocks. The students were awesome, they carefully followed the raft instructor’s directions without question and got fully involved in every task and challenge over the two days. A special highlight whilst paddling was to see the whole group work together to make a Jenga tower of all of the rafts on top of each other, whilst standing on them and not falling into the river.
The students extended their paddling skills throughout the two days and managed to paddle successfully through the upper and lower sections of the Big River rapids. Well done to all students - it was great to see your developments throughout the time.
