Having over 25 students cooking trangia stoves altogether is quite a challenge, but we made it!
All students groups cooked a 2 course meal on the stove and proved to be self-sufficient with minimal rubbish and minimal impact to their environment. Meals ranged from pizza’s, spaghetti bolognaise and pasta, risottos and some very tasty wraps to name a few. The deserts were equally amazing; chocolate ripple cake, apple crumble and banana splits with different toppings.
It was amazing, the judges with myself were extremely impressed and I feel the whole group should be rewarded.
I would also like to give a special mention to our 3 judges who managed to taste virtually every dish. Thanks to Ms Steeper, Ms Logan and Mr Patterson. Mr Freeman also spent the evening helping out.
Great job and I look forward to our next adventure – after hike around Mt Lofty in Warrandyte State Park. (Please watch out for the amended date due to our Athena expedition.
Well done and Thanks to all!!!!
